AIA Connecticut has awarded Associate Principal Nancy Clayton the 2022 Women in Architecture Award. Honoring registered and practicing female architects in Connecticut, the award is granted to individuals who demonstrate design excellence, promote equitable & sustainable practice, and are affecting change in the profession.
The AIA Connecticut Design Awards recognize design excellence of built and unbuilt work in Connecticut or in other locations by Connecticut-based firms.
The Sustainable Architecture awards program recognizes the efforts of licensed Connecticut architects who have developed and demonstrated ways to decrease Green House Gases, reduce energy use and demand, and conserve water use in the built or natural environments.
This statewide award honors architects and their clients whose projects help achieve the client’s business goals and/or create outsized impact through the design of the built environment.
For the excellence in design exhibited in Devon Energy Center, Pickard Chilton won the Merit Award from AIA Connecticut in 2018.
