Pickard Chilton Associate Principal Seung Hwan Namgoong AIA, LEED AP BD+C is presenting at the 2023 K-UAM (Urban Air Mobility) CONFEX being held today in Incheon, South Korea. Participating in Session 4 “UAM & Entrepreneur,” Mr. Namgoong’s presentation is entitled “Vertiport Design and the Human Experience.” Referencing Pickard Chilton’s conceptual designs for Uber’s vertiports and in the context of the rapid development of the global UAM ecosystem, Mr. Namgoong will touch on how the design of vertiports must focus on not only safety and sustainability, but how they can enhance the human experience in this new age.
Principal Jon Pickard and Larry Nichols, Chairman Emeritus, Devon Energy will present today at the Council on Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat International Conference on the catalytic impact Devon Energy Center has had on Oklahoma City.
The project has been credited as the catalyst for nearly $3 billion of commercial development in the city, including corporate and publicly-funded developments. The tower has become a beloved icon for Oklahoma City.
Pickard Chilton Principal Anthony J. Markese will present a lecture titled "Reflecting the Pacific Northwest Spirit" at the Zak World of Facades Conference on March 31, 2022 in Seattle, Washington. The lecture will focus on the design of recently completed 2+U, a Class-A commercial office tower and urban village in downtown Seattle and The Eight, a next-generation 25-story tower currently under construction in Bellevue.
