The BCS Prize
The BCS Prize were established in 1960 on the initiative of Mr. TouemonTakenaka, the first director of the Building Contractors Association (BCS), based on the idea that “Creation of an excellent building requires mutual understanding and corporation among the client, the architect, and the builder, excursion technique to realize design being essential”. The prize has been awarded to superior domestic buildings, ever since annually, to create building assets and to contribute to the development of culture and global environmental protection.
In 2011, when the BCS was merged with the Japan Federation of Construction Contractors (JFCC), JFCC took over the prize.
