Kristin Hawkins
Kristin Hawkins brings over 30 years of experience designing an extensive range of projects globally. Ms. Hawkins’ thoughtful approach to design combines intuitive, visual creativity with logic and problem solving. She believes in the power of place; that transformative, responsible architecture is both a poetic and pragmatic response to cultural and physical context. Her design methodology embraces the unique opportunities and challenges posed by each project and client.
Prior to joining Pickard Chilton, Ms. Hawkins was a Partner with Pelli Clarke & Partners. Her recent work includes the multi-award-winning Chengdu Museum of Natural History in Chengdu, China; West Palm Point, a 470,000 GSF class A office tower in West Palm Beach, Florida, and a confidential next-generation condominium tower in midtown Manhattan.
Past work includes design lead for cultural, academic and corporate projects such as the Red Building at the Pacific Design Center in West Hollywood, CA; the Center for Innovation in Medical Professions at Cleveland State University; and Future VU, the master plan for Vanderbilt University. She also collaborated on the design of the Renee and Henry Segerstrom Concert Hall in Costa Mesa, CA; the Schuster Performing Arts Center in Dayton, OH; and the Joe Rosenfield Center at Grinnell College.
A long-standing and current faculty member at the Yale School of Architecture, Ms. Hawkins holds a Bachelor of Science in Architecture from the University of Virginia and a Master of Architecture from Yale University. She has lectured and served as a juror for institutions and organizations nationally.
